Minister Mutuuzo Attacks Western Powers For Harassing African Leaders.
The State Minister for Gender and Culture who is also the Bunyangabu District Woman Member of Parliament Peace Mutuuzo Regis has accused western powers of harassing Africans and African leaders in the disguise of protecting human rights.
Addressing the Bunyangabu District Youth Leaders and Mobilisers conference on Friday morning, Minister Mutuuzo described western powers as greedy and selfish states whose leaders would always want to steal African countries of their abundant natural resources.
She mentioned countries like Sudan and Libya which have previously experienced havoc orchestrated by the whites with the interests of allegedly gaining from their oil products.
Minister Mutuuzo described the International Criminal Court – ICC as an institution set by the superpowers to harass and target Africans and African leaders, wondering that who persecutes western dictators who commit atrocities and humanitarian suffering across continents.
Meanwhile, she urged the youths to understand and pursue the National Resistance Movement core principles of Patriotism, Pan–Africanism, democracy, and social-economic transformation.
The Bunyangabu District Chairperson, James Ategeka Mugarama challenged the youths to be courageous, hardworking and disciplined if they are to overcome the social and economic hardships.
Quoting from the book of Proverbs Chapter 6:4, Mr. Ategeka implored the youths and the general public to stop waiting for things that come on silver plates but rather start their own income-generating projects.
