Minister Amelia Kyambadde cautions cross-border business owners
Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Amelia Kyambadde has cautioned business owners involved in cross-border trade to effect quality control and avoid perishing of their businesses.
Kyambadde made the remarks on Thursday, April 16,2021 at Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) headquarters in the capital Kampala while signing a joint communiqué on trade with her Kenyan counterpart Betty Maina,the Cabinet Secretary Industrialization, Trade & Enterprise Development.
Kyambadde said with the political leadership under the stewardship of President Yoweri Museveni and his Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta, playing its role of enabler, the business proprietors must do what is progressive.
The top officials present at the ceremony were Foreign Affairs state minister (International Affairs) Henry Oryem Okello, Government Spokesperson Ofwono Opondo, Kenya High Commissioner to Uganda Julius Kiema Kilonzo, and Kenya principal secretary state department of trade Johnson Weru, among others.
