Mbarara University of Science and technology votes for the next guild president today
Voting has started at Mbarara University of Science and Technology(MUST), as Students choose their next guild president and guild representatives to the council.
Six students are in the race to become the next guild president for Mbarara’s science-based University. They include; Bukenya Hakim(NRM), Muhumuza Bryan Umar(People Power), Nduhura Paul Twinomugisha(FDC) and Eugene Bizimana, Serunjoji Ivan and Kanyesigye Coleb all standing as independent candidates.
The candidates promise to address challenges affecting the university, such as slow WiFi, lack of a canteen at Kihumuro campus to enable students access food without moving long distances, among other issues.
Trevor Marvin Mwebare – the MUST electoral commission finance secretary calls upon the candidates not to involve in bribing voters (students) explaining that the perpetrators will be dealt with.
