Mbarara shines in 2018 P.L.E Exams
Mbarara district excelled in 2018 primary leaving examinations with – 2,964 pupils out of 10,772 pupils passing in grade 1 equivalent to 27.8 percent out 659,639 (Six hundred fifty nine thousand six hundred thirty nine) who registered for exams at the national level.
The Mbarara District Inspector of Schools, Ms Kellen Ayebazibwe confirmed this, saying 1,601 males are in grade 1 compared to 1,363 females in the same grade. Among the best performing government aided primary schools are; Bujaga Primary school in Rwampara, Kakigani in Ndaija, Kinoni primary, Rubindi Boys and Rubindi Girls among many.
Among private schools are; St Joseph Rubindi, Wagawaga Rutooma, Allied Rubindi, Katabarwa, Rubindi parents among others.
Meanwhile in Grade 2, there were 5’524 candidates, out of which 3,064 were females and 2,460 males, 1,428 in grade 3 and 585 in grade 4.
