Mbarara NRM cadres convene a meeting ahead of Bobi Wine’s visit
A group of National Resistance Movement (NRM) cadres in Mbarara city have today convened a meeting to discuss how to overshadow the launch of NUP manifesto and Presidential Candidate Robert Kyagulanyi’s visit on Saturday,7th November 2020,among other issues.
In the meeting attended by Mbarara RDC, Lt. Col. James Mwesigye, they also launched Mbarara NRM loyal cadres 2020 association led by former city woman MP NRM flag bearer candidate Jolly Kagira Tumwine, to mobilize support for President Museveni and NRM flag bearers come 2021.
The RDC said it is Bobi Wine’s right to go everywhere but security forces have to do their role. ‘Politics is war and serious business,’ he added.
NRM cadres presented different suggestions including wearing yellow to make the city yellow on Saturday, doing general cleaning or other activities that will overshadow NUP event. They didn’t reveal the resolution.
According to Kagira, Ugandans see what President Museveni has done and where Uganda is heading, the only concern is how Bobi Wine disorganizes and misleads people especially the youth.
The National Unity Platform-NUP earlier today announced that due to the death of Sheikh Anas Kalisa, who will be buried this Friday in Nyakahita Ruhaama Ntungamo, the launch of NUP manifesto in Kakoba Mbarara city has been postponed from tomorrow until Saturday 7th November 2020.
NUP will also officially open offices in Mbarara city on Saturday.
On the tension ahead of Bobi Wine’s visit, the RDC declined to comment, saying Bobi Wine’s visit to Mbarara is still a rumour to him and security.
