Mbarara illegal structures to be razed
Mbarara city town clerk Mr. Tibihika Theophilus has cautioned those constructing to follow the law if they aren’t to lose their structures because authorities intend to launch operations to assess how people around Mbarara city have been following and still follow recommended plans.
Mbarara city is estimated to be having a population of over 220,000 with many people living in structures constructed illegally in suburbs.
‘We are at the planning level and we’ll engage all organs. We want them properly placed,’ the town clerk added.
Authorized leaders including politicians, technocrats and other organs will be conducting operations which will include razing illegally structures both new and old ones.
