Mbarara Doctor Dies of COVID-19
Mbarara COVID-19 taskforce has reechoed a warning against members of the public who have relaxed in adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the fight against COVID-19.
This follows the death of Dr Peter Mugisha,a dermatologist at Mbarara regional referral hospital who died of the virus as confirmed yesterday.
According to the hospital director Dr Celestine Barigye, the deceased wasn’t handling coronavirus patients so investigations are underway to trace where he contracted it from and probably his contacts.
Uganda has so far registered 3,776 total confirmed COVID-19 cases, 44 deaths and 1,741 recoveries.
