Mbarara boda bodas cry out to President Museveni

Boda boda operators around Mbarara city have joined their counterparts in other parts of the country in crying out to President Museveni to revise the new guidelines, decrying losses despite being allowed to strictly carry one passenger per take among other Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the health ministry last week.
At Ntare and Amazon stages, some operators revealed that many clients are hesitant on giving them their details to be recorded in a notebook as required, although many have positively responded to wearing masks.
However, some members of the public downplayed the registration saying this exposes their privacy to criminals who could be hiding in the boda boda industry.
Coronavirus has so far claimed two people (both female) in Uganda with the district task forces continuing to tirelessly undertake their enforcement responsibilities in the fight against the pandemic.
