Mao asks Gov’t to Release Rwenzururu King Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere
Addressing the press at Virina Gardens in Kasese Town, Nobert Mao said there is need for the release and dropping of the charges against the Omusinga and His subjects arguing that his arrest was not based on legal charges rather a political problem which needs to be addressed politically.
Among other issues Mao also emphasized on peace reconciliation and justice among the people of the Rwenzori region, adding that there seems to be tendencies of rumors where some people including leaders spread falsehood without proof.
Mao added that they have already placed a team of professional lawyers to help bail out Omusinga and his subjects who are still detained in Luzira prison without fail.
Mao said the intentions to come to Kasese among others opening up the party office for Kasese district, meeting various stakeholders and also supporting the party candidates in the forthcoming elections with financial help and printing posters that will help them mobilize voters.
