Man in Fort Portal on the run after strangling wife

Police in Fort Portal is hunting a one James Mwesige for strangling his 30-year-old wife to death.

The Rwenzori west police spokesperson Twesigye Vincent has confirmed that Mwesige a resident of Kicuna trading center Rwengaju sub county Kabarole district strangled his wife Annet Katusiime to death after finding her in an extramarital affair.

Twesigye has explained that after catching his wife red-handed, Mwesige convinced her to go back home with him and he strangled her to death on their way.

Police recovered a letter at the scene of crime written by Mwesige(who is currently on the run) confessing that he killed the deceased and was threatening to commit suicide.
