Kitagwenda MP concerned over crocodiles attacking residents
Kitagwenda Member of Parliament Abas Agaba has cried out to the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities to rescue residents who are being traumatized and some eaten up by crocodiles, in the area.
Agaba has raised the matter on the floor of parliament saying that the crocodiles that come from Lake George are becoming a big threat to residents adding that some residents have already lost their lives.
Agaba has confirmed that in the last two months, crocodiles from Lake George have eaten up to eight people.
In response, the speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwaala Kadaga has ordered that the ministry should assess the situation on Lake George, establish a safe corridor for human beings to collect water and also report back to parliament in two weeks.
