Kiruhura Farmers Worried Over Scarcity of Vaccines Amid Foot And Mouth Disease Outbreak
Farmers in Kiruhura district are worried over the increasing cases of foot and mouth disease yet they don’t have enough vaccines.
In Nyakashashara sub county Nyabushozi county, Mr. Benon Kikashemera the L C 3 chairperson has revealed that the disease is already in Kamarya and Kyera parishes where they have vaccinated some animals before being hindered by vaccine scarcity.
Farmers have been asked to be patient and respect guidelines to combat livestock diseases as the government comes to their rescue.
Kiruhura is among the districts disturbed by livestock diseases along Isingiro, Sembabule, Lyantonde and others in the cattle corridor.
