Kamwenge NRM Youth Leaders Disagree
Yesterday there was disagreement among youth leaders at Kaburisoke ward Kamwenge town council Kamwenge district during youth members for NRM party primaries bye-elections at parish level.
The national resistance movement party primaries were held on 19th August 2020 across the country but later NRM electoral commission office Kamwenge district cancelled the results from Kaburisoke ward after receiving petitions from some of youth leaders claiming that some of participants were not valid voters of the youth elections.
This forced Asuman Mugisha the Kamwenge district NRM Registrar and team to conduct bye-elections in the same ward under heavy deployment from Kamwenge Police.
Across the section of youth members stormed at the polling station to block the bye-election exercise but were in vain.
Shortly after election exercise, Asuman Mugisha declared Rutikanga Moizee from Kaburisoke 11 as the chairperson NRM flag bearer for Kaburisoke ward and hailed them for accepting to conduct a free and fair bye-election.
