Jamil Mukulu case pushed to December to investigate his extradition process from Tanzania
The Pre-trial Hearing of the case against former ADF rebel leader, Jamil Mukulu and 37others has been pushed to 20th/ December/2018, to allow the Defence team be availed the certified record of extradition proceedings of three accused persons arrested from Dare-Salaam.
These include Jamil Mukulu, Mohammad Matovu and Omar Abdallah Mutuka. The Judge allowed Defence Lawyers Evans Ochieng and Caleb Alaka’s application basing on the fact that when the Attorney General of Uganda was applying for their extradition, he stated that they were wanted for only murder charges, and not any other offence, but now they are being charged with Terrorism , murder, aggrevated robbery, attempted murder and crimes against Humanity.
Presiding Judge Eve Luswata then adjourned the matter to 20th/December with orders that the certified record of proceedings from the Magistrate court at Kisitu-Daresalaam be availed by the State to the Defence by that date.
