Isingiro LC 5 Chairman says SOPs are hard to implement

Isingiro district LC 5 Chairman Jeremiah Kamurari has expressed concern over the stringent Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set by the health ministry as boda bodas resume carrying passengers with strictly one per take saying they are hard and expensive to implement.
Boda boda riders are among other SOPs required to have sanitizers, wear masks and record details of each passenger in a notebook.
Kamurari says recording people’s details is disrespectful to their privacy besides exposing them to criminals who may intend to harm them.
‘Boda bodas should only adhere to wearing masks and helmets plus understanding that the life they protect is theirs not president Museveni’s,’ Kamurari added.
