Ibanda woman MP aspirant Jane Beinomugisha warned against inciting violence

The National Resistance Movement-NRM electoral commission chairman,Dr Tang Odoi has warned Jane
Bainomugisha Embandituka against inciting violence and to stop confusing people of
Ibanda district claiming that she is the official NRM woman MP flag-bearer challenging incumbent Hon Jovrine Kaliisa Kyomukama’s nomination.

Odoi says Bainomugisha and her team were supposed to be arrested because they had forged declaration forms which Moses Arimwerenga,the Ibanda
district NRM registrar used to declare her winner with 37,606 votes while Kyomukama garnered
37,439 votes leaving a difference of only 167 votes.
However after the recount, Kyomukama emerged the winner with
38,124 votes and her close rival Jane polled 37,666 votes.
Following escalating tension and demonstrations in Ibanda, Dr Tang Odoi has added that it’s absurd that some leaders like Jane don’t tell electorates the truth and end up confusing
people.
