Gov’t Cries Out to Private Facilities As Covid-19 Infections Rise
The growing number of Covid-19 infections and deaths has prompted the government to engage more private health facilities on care for patients.
Uganda has today registered 5 new COVID19 Postive cases bringing the total of Cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans to 1,203.
According to the ministry of health Permanent Secretary Dr Diana Atwine, they have now embarked on building the capacity of health workers in private facilities.
Dr Atwine says a meeting was held yesterday with private hospital directors to discuss the support needed to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
Uganda has so far recorded 1,203 infections and 5 deaths while on the brighter side, there have been 1,070 recoveries.
