Government moves vehicle registration from Uganda Revenue Authority
Government to transfer vehicle registration from Uganda revenue authority to the ministry of works and transport.
This has been revealed by the state minister for transport Aggrey Bagyire while appearing before the physical infrastructure committee of parliament to present the budget for the ministry of works.
Bagyire informed the committee that they need 47billion to transfer the registration activity from Uganda revenue authority but had hoped they will be availed 25 billion shillings as a startup but says they have only been availed five billion shillings.
Bagyire says that they have realized Uganda revenue authority has been concentrating a lot of their work on revenue collection and says that other areas like safety have been neglected and says that government wants revenue collection on collecting taxes.
