Government Accuses Former Tooro Premier of Land Grabbing
The Office of the Prime Minister has accused the former Prime Minister of Tooro Kingdom Steven Irumba of fraudulently acquiring a land title for 505 acres neighbouring Kyaka 1 Refugee settlement in Kyegegwa district.
In a press statement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister, government says Irumba has fooled the public into believing that he is a victim of a evil plot, yet he is the aggressor on refugee land.
The statement is in response to a recent appearance before the Commission of Inquiry into Land Matters which also prompted the summoning of Eng. Hilary Onek, the Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees.
