FDC vows to ‘forcefully’ continue holding meetings and rallies.
The president of the opposition forum for democratic change (FDC) Patrick Amuriat has decided to continue with their nationwide consultation meetings despite arrests by police.
Yesterday, Amuriat and former party president Dr Kiiza Besigye were bundled out of local radio station in Jinja, eastern Uganda where they were about to be hosted on a talk show.
On Wednesday, Amuriat and other party leaders were arrested and blocked from holding a rally in Tororo district with police saying they had clearance for the meeting.
Amuriat maintains that no amount of intimidation will stop them from consulting Ugandans ahead of the 2021 general election.
