FDC fundraises for 2016 polls
Forum for Democratic Change members have been asked to donate to the party so that enough funding is raised to support the party activities.
Angelline Osegge, the newly elected party’s treasurer asked party National Council members to mobilize their supporters to donate to the party which needs funds.
“We thank our members of parliament who have continued to make monthly contributions towards party activities, outside funders especially Democratic Governance Facility (DGF) through NIMD and the International Republican Institute (IRI), the Conservative Party,” she said.
Osegge made the remarks while presenting the party’s treasurer general report and urged members of the party to start fundraising for 2016 general elections in their various districts.
She was speaking during the party’s 9th National council meeting held at their party headquarters in Najjanakumbi in Kampala.
Osegge also thanked the Government for having disbursed what she called the long awaited political parties funding facility. She said ‘it finally arrived. Through the Electoral Commission, we received sh1.1b).”
