Ex-convict murders 3 family members in Buhweju district,Lynched by residents.
Western Uganda – Three people were killed and two injured yesterday Saturday morning, Jan 11, in Kyerwa Village, Bwoga Parish Rwengo Sub County, Buhweju District during a suspected revenge attack by ex-convict John Muhereza, 25.
According to Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson SP Martial Tumusiime, the suspect came early in the morning with a panga, and kicked the loosely locked door open. It was easy for the suspect to enter because the door was loosely locked with a nail.
The deceased have been identified as Jonah Kyoshabire, a 32-year-old mother of Racheal Amutuhaire 9, Getrude Niwandinda 3, who too died, and two survived with injuries;a 13-yr-old boy and a 7-yr-old girl from the same family.
The suspect Muhereza was also lynched by a mob while being taken to the nearest police post by the LC1 chairperson who arrested him.
He died at Nsika Health Centre IV over the injuries because the residents lynched him after realizing that he is the one who had killed the 3 family members.
The bodies were buried on Saturday as the injured received treatment.
