Dwayne Johnson confirms he won’t star in Fast & Furious 9, and neither will Jason Statham.
Hobbs and Shaw aren’t going to be back for Fast And Furious 9, because they’re busy filming Hobbs and Shaw.
Actor Dwayne Johnson confirmed that he and Jason Statham aren’t going to be in the next installment in the fast-car franchise because it’s already commenced filming.
The 46-year-old actor – who stars as Luke Hobbs in the money-spinning franchise – has admitted that his on-screen character says he could still return to the film series in the future but he’s making no promises.
Dwayne told MTV News on Wednesday: ‘The plan has always been for the Fast and Furious universe to grow and expand.
‘As of now, we’re not in Fast 9 because they’re getting ready to start shooting. But who knows with Fast 10 and down the road, you never know.’
It comes after Dwayne publicly insisted he had no ‘ill will’ towards original actor Vin Diesel, following an alleged feud between the two screen stars.
