Distribution of Gov’t Face Masks in Kasese Hot Spots Commences
The Kasese district task force has started close monitoring on places that have many had cases of COVID 19 in the district.
The Kasese district health officer Baseki Yosufu while flagging off the distribution of government face masks, said the hot spot areas include Kayanja landing site, Kambuka Mabwe in Mpondwe Lhubiriha town council, Kabuyire village where they picked community cases and among others.
Baseki also revealed that Kasese district so far has 15 community cases of COVID19, and 40 in general.
He said the district taskforce is in touch with fort portal regional referral hospital, where a number f cases from Kasee is admitted saying that if hospital gets stuck, Bwera hospital is their option for case management
The resident district commissioner RDC, Lt. Joe Walusimbi says they have already started with Bukonzo west constituency at Uganda-Congo border, and requested local leaders to be cooperative during this exercise.
