Distribution of 191,560 insecticide treated mosquito nets set to kick off tomorrow in Kamwenge
The Ministry of Health has delivered over 191,560 insecticide treated mosquito nets to Kamwenge district local government.
Dr Mucunguzi William,the District Health Officer Kamwenge District on the event yesterday said the distribution of the nets will kick off on this Saturday and end on Tuesday next week.
These insecticide Treated Mosquito nets will be distributed door to door by local council leaders and village health team members. He has now asked residents to embrace the exercise in the fight against malaria in the district.
Malaria has a significant negative impact on the economy of Uganda due to decreased productivity, lower school attendance and performance, and reduced foreign investments.
