Christians warned against living expensive lifestyles as the new year begins.
The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi Rt. Rev. George Bagamuhunda has warned Christians against living expensive lifestyles. Bishop Bagamuhunda made the call today while preaching during the New Years Runyankore service at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Rugarama in Kabale municipality.
Bishop Bagamuhunda said that many Christians are in financial distress because they acquired loans from banks and other financial institutions to fund wedding and birthday parties and burial ceremonies and they have failed to repay back.
Bishop Bagamuhunda also warned politicians against dividing voters as we approach the time for elections. He asked voters to vote for people who have a heart for the country, and a proven track record of working with Christians and development. He said there is no need for people to clash during the polls, which will end in a few days.
