Children, the elderly, pregnant women to continue praying via radio and TV
The Pastoral Coordinator and Canon Lawyer Mbarara Archdiocese , Rev Fr Deusdedit Twesigyeomwe has revealed that children below seven years, old people above seventy years and pregnant mothers shall remain at home and pray via radios and television since it’s not advisable for them to wear masks.
He clarified that all christians who go to churches must observe standard operating procedures as per directive and guidance from President Museveni for the good of everyone and the church as places of worship reopen after over 6 months of lockdown.
Fr Twesigyeome made the remarks while preaching in the first Sunday holy mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cathedral Nyamitanga Mbarara after the government partially opened places of worship with restriction to only seventy believers worshiping.
During the mass the Catholic Church commemorated the 106 World of refugees and Immigrants under the theme, “Like Jesus Cried to Flee”.
