Bushenyi district registers its 10th COVID-19 positive case
Bushenyi district has registered its 10th COVID-19 positive case from Kyamuhunga Sub County,according to the assistant District Health Officer Dr. Eliab Tayebwa.
The case is a 50-year-old male who came from Rubirizi district not feeling well, the health team decided to isolate him and took his samples which turned out to be positive of COVID19 yesterday, October 29, 2020.
Dr. Tayebwa says COVID-19 is manageable only that people have continued to flout the Standard Operating Procedures-SOPs, imploring the entire community to observe SOPs and live carefully.
He added that Bushenyi recorded its first case on 7th August 2020 and one of the patients is at Mbarara Referral Hospital, another one is being treated in Bushenyi, two others are being managed from their homes while six were discharged and are doing well.
Nationally as of today October 30, 2020,results of COVID-19 tests done on 28th October 2020 confirm 434 new cases bringing Uganda’s cumulative confirmed cases to 12,201; 108 deaths and 7,461 recoveries.
