Bushenyi boda boda riders set to receive relief food
Boda Boda riders in Bushenyi district are set to receive relief food donated to COVID-19 task force today 8th June 2020 totaling to 15 tonnes of maize flour donated by the Bushenyi district woman MP Minister Mary Karooro Okurut and Bushenyi district National Resistance Movement (NRM) Chairperson Hajji Hassan Basajjabalaba.
While handing over the food, Goodman Tumwebaza who had represented the two leaders, said the maize flour is meant for all boda boda riders in Busheyi district.
He said the riders have been affected for more than 2 months now since the lock down started on 20th March 2020.
This is not the first time the two leaders have donated to the task force, with the latest being the donation of 20 temperature guns and 2000 pieces of face masks at the start of this month.
Loy Namara, the Deputy RDC Bushenyi district applauded the great work being done by the two leaders for rendering support to their people.
Jaffari Basajjabalaba, the Bushenyi district chairperson also thanked the two leaders and said the food will be distributed to the target boda-boda riders.
