The Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) political party officials in western Uganda have expressed gratitude over the promising number of its candidates with some areas like Kazo having many vying for one position although some areas including Isingiro haven’t got candidates like woman MP flag bearers.
This was revealed by Mbarara/Ankole ANT leader, Daniel Kafureka who is the Member of Parliament Aspirant Kashari South Mbarara district, in a meeting attended by presidential hopeful Rtd. Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu.
Muntu on Thursday, August 13,2020 held a brainstorming meeting with ANT Ankole leaders including candidates ahead of 2020/21 polls.
Kafureka, politically known as omugambi w’amazima, said besides other concerns, members continue to seek clarity on who will fund their campaigns.
In response, Muntu assured them that the party is working around the clock to address all concerns and having been embraced and loved by many Ugandans yet it is a young party, the ground is getting more fertile. He reechoed the fact that all members should be value driven as the party’s core foundation.
