Angry Mob Kills Suspected Transformer Oil Thief

An angry mob in Kamuli district has lynched a suspected transformer oil thief.

The Nawandyo village LC1 Chairperson, Magino Kalulu says angry residents killed the suspect late in the night after they found him with others tapping oil from a transformer.

Kalulu said the deceased had come in a small car to the area but when he tried escaping arrest by angry locals, they beat him to death.

The Wankole Police Officer in Charge Micheal Nyeko said that the deceased was not a resident of the area but investigations into the matter have commenced.
