Mbarara-Ibanda road accident claims one person
An accident involving motor vehicle number UBF 077 R Fuso fighter white in colour and motorcycle UFA 800 P has this morning at around 7:50 am claimed 1 person at mile 4 along Mbarara Ibanda road junction .
The deceased has been identified as Muhanguzi Alex,the motorcycle rider,a resident of Ryamitamba village Mabona parish Rukiri sub county Ibanda district and the body is in Mbarara regional referral hospital mortuary.
The driver of the fuso,Nuwagaba Deus is in Police custody to help with investigations.
Cause of the accident according to eyewitnesses was reckless riding on the side of the motorcycle rider who was coming from Ibanda side made a turn while on the right lane at the junction going to Bushenyi road where he collided with an incoming motor vehicle from Bushenyi side which was in its lane.
