Abdallah Kitatta sentenced to 8 years, 8 months and 6 days in prison
The General Court Martial has sentenced former Boda Boda 2010 patron Abdallah Kitatta to 8 years, 8 months and 6 days in prison. Abdallah Kitatta’s bodyguard Sowali Ngobi, also got the same sentence.
They were arrested at the start of 2018 by Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI), for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
Among the guns that Kitatta unlawfully possessed were; the famous gold pistol, an SMG riffle and 35 rounds of ammunition.
The 7-member Court chaired by Lt. Gen Andrew Gutti unanimously ruled that evidence from the 4 prosecution witnesses was satisfactory enough to prove the charges against the duo.
