A school in Kamuli district is on the Spot for Denying Exams to Fees Defaulters
Parents of six senior four students of Kabukye Secondary School in Kamuli district have stormed the school after their children were stopped from sitting for Uganda Certificate of Education-UCE exams.
The parents say they have been pleading with the school head teacher to enable the children sit for the exams in vain.Yovan Mugere, a parent says he asked the head teacher two weeks ago to allow his child sit for the exams as he looks for the 50,000 shillings balance for school fees.
He, however, says on Monday, the children were denied entry to the examination room. However, the school head teacher, Farouk Mpyangu says the parents have never engaged the school administrators on their payment plans.
