48 out of 200 applicants to join police as Special Police Constables in Ibanda, females cautioned against getting pregnant
Out of 200 people that applied to join Uganda Police Force as Special Police Constables-SPCs from Ibanda district, only 48 applicants have passed interviews.
Police will shortlist 50,000 SPC recruits across Uganda who will join the force to man the 2021 general election, earning shs 375,000 per month for three month.
The selection exercise in Ibanda was conducted on Sunday at Ibanda Kibubura
Integrated primary school playground and according to the Ibanda district
police commander Superintendent of Police-SP Emily Angomoku, 11 of the 48 are females.
Angomoku has congratulated those that passed interviews but at the same time cautioned
them to stay alert and vigilant in order not to miss out on the training.
She said girls selected should avoid being impregnated as they wait for the
training while their male counterpart should be on alert not to be
persuaded from the cause of their decision.
