278 Criminal Cases Registered During NRM Primaries
Police has registered 278 criminal cases in the recently concluded NRM primaries ranging from murder, unlawful possession of guns among others.
While addressing the media on the general security situation in the country, the Criminal Investigations Department, spokesperson Charles Twiine said all perpetrators will be brought to book.
Twiine noted a total of 269 people were arrested during the entire process adding that Police identified Western Uganda as the hotspot of electoral violence during the primaries.
He said six people died after sustaining bodily injuries during the election of the party parliamentary flag bearer.
