17 parish chiefs from Ibanda district transferred to new areas.
The chief administrative officer of Ibanda district, Ahimbisibwe Nathan Rwamashwaga has today morning transferred 17 parish chiefs from the areas where they have been operating from to new areas.
This during a meeting with journalists by the district administrative officer Ibanda explaining that the transfers have been decided wisely.
Among other reasons for these transfers was that some of these parish chiefs have spent many years in the areas where they have been operating from which has resulted into poor performance for these government appointed parish chiefs
However, CAO has said that this has been done for the efficiency and revitalization of service delivery in local governments and enhancing the effectiveness of operation wealthy creation activities in Ibanda district especially in parishes and these transfers must be respected with immediate effect.
Among some chiefs who have been transferred include, Tugabirwe mutembe levunali who has been in kihani parish to kigunga parish, Atuhaire Reachel Rwenshabya to mabonwa parish, Turyasingura yonah kanyaruguiri
to Bwenda parish among others.
