University of St. Joseph Mbarara project launched
President Yoweri Museveni yesterday launched the University of St. Joseph Mbarara project ,Mbarara archdioceses.
During the launch, President Museveni urged Education institutions across the country to include counseling and Guidance in their study programmes. The president, who hailed St.Josephs university for including the course in its study programmes noting that counseling helps students to become good and responsible leaders in the future.
President Museveni Pledged 150 US dollars towards the construction of a science laboratory at St.Joseph University ,Mbarara project. He also donated an ambulance and 50,000 US Dollars towards the construction of a theatre at Holy Innocents Children’s Hospital in Nyamitanga.
Earlier, President Museveni warned that whoever has swindled government money will be punished and required to pay it back in line with the law.
Speaking at a public rally at Kyarumba sub-county headquarters in Bukonjo East county in Kasese District, President Museveni said it has come to his notice that the country does not get value for money as contractors continuously conspire with government officials to do shoddy roadworks.
The President also said he appointed a strict woman Allen Kagina, to head the Uganda National Road Authority and she asked him to appoint a judicial commission of inquiry, which he did to bring the culprits to book.
