Uganda Rugby Cranes take on Zimbabwe at Legends club tonight
The Rugby Cranes host Zimbabwe this evening a Legends Rugby club in their final test of the 2017 Africa Rugby Gold Cup. Coach John Duncan wants his side to finish on a high in a campaign he has described as a “good one.” Uganda has managed two wins, a draw and a loss in four games, coming third on the six team log with 11 points. Zimbabwe, who are yet to recover both physically and mentally from the 31-23 loss to Tunisia, and go into the game on the back of a three-game losing streak.
Justin Ki-mono, who scored two tries in his rugby cranes debut against Zimbabwe in 2011 starts at right wing and Fly-half Magomu has been passed fit to start on the bench.
Regardless of the outcome from today ’s game, Uganda will stay in the Gold Cup and challenge for the 2019 Japan World Cup qualification next year.
