Troubled Aguero vows to pitch in at City and he urges Tevez to stay on
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero wants to stay at the club and will try to persuade Carlos Tevez to see out his contract, too.
Aguero, 24, has been considering his future during a difficult season and amid issues in his personal life.
But he said: ‘I am very happy at City. I’ve got two more years on my contract and I’m going to work hard.
‘Every player wants to play in big teams that win titles. We didn’t win anything last season but we have won trophies in the last few years, so there is no reason to go.’
Fellow Argentinian Tevez is about to enter the final year of his deal and Aguero added: ‘There are always rumours but I want to play with all the big players and Carlos is a big player, so I would like him to stay.’
City’s deal to start a new MLS club in New York may have scuppered David Beckham’s plans to do the same in Miami as the league will have a full quota of 20 teams.
