Traffic Police in Mbarara intensifies operations on the road as students return to school
Traffic Police in Mbarara has mounted roadblocks along different roads including Mbarara-Isingiro, Mbarara-Bushenyi, Mbarara-Kabale, Mbarara-Lyantonde and others to ensure safety as students report back to schools for first term 2019.
According to the Rwizi region police spokesperson, Samson Kasasira, Operations started over the weekend, but have been intensified starting today tomorrow and Wednesday.
In an interview with our reporter at his office in Mbarara, Kasasira appeals to parents to accompany their children to banks for payment of fees, to schools and keep a keen eye on them to ensure some people don’t take advantage of them. He also reveals that drivers who intend to break traffic laws will be arrested and charged.
