Teachers Asked to Update Teaching Content
Teachers are being challenged to always be updated in the subjects they teacher if they are to make learners pass examinations at all level.
This was sounded by Hamuza Sessanga chairperson Isingiro district education committee representing kaberebere town council during the one day workshop of science secondary school teachers for capacity building held at Boni consill secondary school kyabirikwa organized by the women member of parliament Justine Ayebazibwe.
Sessanga noted that some teachers still their notice to teach the learners as some of them are outdated leaving them behind hence poor performance.
He is now encouraging teachers to carry out research and be updated in the subjects they teach.
Julius Begumya chairperson of academic Isingiro district who is also the headteacher kigalagala vocational secondary school says challenge they are facing is that some teachers are lucking the skills of setting, marking exams and evaluating learners which also hinders the performance of the learners.
Speaking at the workshop, Sam Mwijukye who represented Hon Justine Ayebazibwe, the woman Member of Parliament said she introduced this program with the intension of capacity building among the teachers to ensure that they are equipped with skills for better performance.
