Stevan Jovetic will end his Manchester City misery by joining Inter Milan this week.
The Italian club have confirmed that Jovetic will have a medical in Milan on Tuesday.
The Montenegro international missed City’s training session in Hanoi on Sunday ahead of their final tour game against the Vietnam national team, and posted a picture of himself sitting on a plane with the message: ‘On my way to Milano.’
Inter wanted the 25-year-old on loan but it is understood that it will either be a sale or a loan that includes a clause stipulating a permanent move like Alvaro Negredo’s recent move to Valencia.
Jovetic cost City £22million from Fiorentina two years ago but has struggled to win a first-team place and was dropped from the Champions League squad in February to make way for new signing Wilfried Bony.
Inter boss Roberto Mancini said earlier this week: ‘We really need an attacker because we only have two players up front at the moment.’
