Speaker Kadaga faults Education Ministry over delay to establish Marine School
The speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga wants the ministry of Education and sports to pronounce its self on when they are going to implement President’s directive to establish a Marine school.
The directive was given four years ago to locate the school at Namasagali University to train specialists in water transport issues.
The awaken call comes only after a week of a tragedy that happened on Lake Victoria where over 30 lives were lost on a boat cruise.
She notes that the country is in high need for this training school in order to have its own technicians in water transport machines than the situation now where the country always has to take its equipments to Tanzania for a service which causes delays in the transport system.
