President Museveni urges Ugandans to embrace commercial farming
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has urged Ugandans to embrace modern small scale commercial farming as the only way to fight poverty at household level if they are get rid of laxity (Okukongora) across the country.
He made remarks yesterday while launching the socio- economic empowerment program being stirred by Free and Rich Uganda aimed at empowering the youth and people of Ntungamo with- the life skills to eradicate poverty held at Kyamate SS play ground Ntungamo Municipality.
President Museveni asked the public to improve income and food security saying that 110,000 families in Ntungamo district should be able to utilize the land they have and have food for consumption and to sell without dividing the land after the death of their parents.
President Museveni promised 50m shillings to Ntungamo Development financial services Sacco and 20m shillings to Boda Boda Ntungamo Municipality Association.
