Parliament Approves More Judges
The parliamentary appointments committee chaired by the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga has today approved more nine judges of the high court.
According to the source sitting on the committee eight of the judged sail through apart from David Batema who faced challenges with one of the committee member.
One of the committee member said that Batema is not suitable to serve in high court because he drinks a lot.
Batema told the committee that he stopped boozing long time ago.
Others who were approved include;
Mr Kenneth Kakuru has been approved to serve in court of appeal.
In high court the committee has approved, Henry Peter Adonyo, Margaret Tibulya, Elizabeth Jane Alividz, Godfrey Namundi, Henritta Wolayo, John Eudes Keitirima, David N Batema and Kaweesa Isabirye.
Others to be vetted tomorrow include,Elizabeth Kibula Kabanda,Damalie Nantudde Lwanga,Duncan Gaswaga,Vicent Okwanga,Alexandra Rugandya Nkonge,Dr Winifred Naisinde,Eva Luswata Kawuma and Michael Elubu.
