NRM Diaspora Chairman Disowns Group Selling Fake Party Cards
The National Resistance Movement Diaspora League Chairman, Abbey Walusimbi has disassociated himself from the group selling forged party cards in European capitals, United States and Turkey.
Walusimbi in a brief statement sent from Washington said the actions of the group allegedly involving UK based immigration barrister Patrick Walusimbi, Titus Kirabo and public health practitioner Moses Kimuli Mulindwa also based in UK, is out of the jurisdiction of the party league under his watch.
Part of the statement said the NRM Diaspora League would like to distance itself from the illegal activities of a few individuals selling identity cards camouflaged as NRM Diaspora membership cards.
He also appealed to the diaspora members involved to stop making and selling NRM cards. NRM Secretariat early this week issued a statement saying some people in diaspora are printing and selling cards to party members abroad.
The Secretariat described the development as illegal and added that the party’s legal department is going pursue the case.
The cards are however being printed in Kampala by Zaabu Technologies which is known by the authority.
