NRM Denies bribing voters Ahead of Historic LCI Elections
The ruling National Resistance Movement denies allegations that the party is bribing voters ahead of the Tuesday LC1 chairperson polls.
Addressing a press conference at the party head quarters at Plot 10 Kyadondo, the Chairperson of the NRM electoral commission Dr.Tanga Odoi says the party only released 900m million as facilitation for organizing constituency conferences for LC1 chairperson flag bearers at sub-county levels with each constituency allocated 3m shillings.
Odoi says that the claims by some opposition politicians that NRM NRM is influencing the electoral process with money are unfounded since every political party facilitate candidates during elections.
Odoi also reports that the party won 83% of the positions in LC1 Women council polls that took place in all 60,801 villages across the country on Tuesday.
