New X-Men: Days of Future Past photo shows Beast and Wolverine in 1973
Bryan Singer uploaded this photo from X-Men: Days of Future Past.
A new photo has been released from X-Men: Days of Future Past showing Beast and Wolverine in 1973.
The snap, uploaded by director Bryan Singer on his Twitter page, shows Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) walking side by side – both wearing a lot of brown – with a camera in front of them.
The picture was accompanied by the message: ‘Welcome to 1973.’
In X-Men: First Class, Hoult’s character mutates into the blue furred Beast but here he’s seen in his human form as Henry McCoy.
Jackman is back as Wolverine while Ian McKellen will return as Magneto and Patrick Stewart will reprise his role as Professor X in the new film.
Days of Future Past is based on Chris Claremont’s 1981 storyline, which jumps back and forth between the present day and an alternate future in which mutants are imprisoned in internment camps.
In the present day plot, the X-Men battle against Mystique, who is now a villain fronting the Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants.
The mutant superheros must try to stop a disastrous event from happening in the future.
X-Men: First Class will be released in cinemas on July 18, 2014.
