Nabakooba asks government to intervene on water crisis in the country
Mityana district Woman MP Judith Nabakooba wants government to intervene in the water crisis which has left many cattle keepers and home steads stressed.
According to Nabakooba, the crisis has seen a severe shortage, with people sharing dirty water with animals.
Raising the issue as a matter of national importance to Parliament yesterday, the lawmaker says the situation needs to be arrested before it runs out of hand.
The water shortage is heavily blamed on the prolonged drought which affected the country, causing a decline in water levels, mainly in the cattle corridor.
